Our Standard Option is a comprehensive option with generous benefits on all levels to suit the healthcare needs of the entire family.
At the primary level, members have access to healthcare services through a combination of virtual and face-to-face consultations with primary healthcare providers.
For further medical interventions that may be required, the primary healthcare provider (GP) will refer the member to the appropriate specialisation. The Standard Option offers extensive secondary and tertiary benefits to ensure security for every family.

You can never run out of GP consultations on this Option. Members have 10 in-person visits, and thereafter, by using the Umvuzo Care App, they can unlock additional consultations, either in person or virtual, based on the condition.
10 visits per family per year is available and must be referred by the network GP and be clinically necessary (pre-authorisation required).
Yes, there is full access. All admissions to the hospital must be pre-authorised. In the case of a proven, life-threatening emergency, admission will automatically be granted for 24 hours.
